Advantages
There are many advantages to The Moki Passage.
First of all is its safety:
- There need never be another traffic accident or another human or animal hit by a vehicle.
- There would never again be another high-speed police chase.
- There will never be another driver under the influence.
- There will never be another accident because of weather or road conditions because the wheels run inside a protected channel.
- Never again would there be a need for snowplows, salt spreaders, or cinders.
- There would be no passing of the coach in front; no slower vehicles.
- No drivers with rectal-cranial inversion; no road rage.
- There is no human driver and no driver fatigue.
Next is the SIMPLICITY:
- Compared to an automobile it would eliminate: headlights, turn signals, rear view mirrors, steering wheels, break petals, gas petals, back up lights, gearshift levers, transmissions, cruise control, power steering, air bags, gas gauges, temperature gauges, tachometers, spare tires, windshield wipers, horns, gas tanks, fuel pumps and everything associated with an internal combustion engine.
- One would never again need to stop at a gas station or run out of gas.
- There would never be another stolen vehicle. The computers would know the location of any vehicle in the system at any time.
- There would never be another traffic light or stop sign or any other traffic regulating and navigation signs.
- There would never be a need to stop in traffic for any reason until reaching the destination.
- There would never be a problem with NAVIGATION. The Moki Passage would always know the route to its destination in the same way that a telephone call knows the way to a location.
- These vehicles would find a PARKING place by themselves.
- The Moki Passage would be very QUIET. Much of the noise one hears as an automobile passes is the result of air moving away from the wheels as they contact the ground. The wheels in the channel would be in a near vacuum. There would be no sound and no transmission of sound.
- The LAND below can be returned to human use.
- It can pass thru forests cutting only the tops of the tallest trees.
- It would be DARK: No headlights, taillights or streetlights.
- For safety and comfort; the coach would always be connected to the electrical line and could therefore be heated or cooled all the time. People could, and would live aboard these coaches.
Other Advantages:
- Only where the supporting pillars touch the earth does the earth need to be disturbed.
- Each family would need to own only one vehicle.
- When one member had finished their use the coach could be sent home on its own without a driver for someone else to use.
- You can be somewhere else while the Moki Passage does the work.
- Since this system is totally automated true remote warehousing and remote shopping is possible. The Moki Passage could run errands, do shopping, make deliveries, and haul away waste, all without a driver or any one on board.
- Children can be sent to soccer practice without a chauffeur.
- Water bottles could be sent to be filled by themselves while you stayed at home.
- The Moki Passage could be built very quickly and would cost much less than a highway system.
